Who is God? Prove to me that God exists? the cry of the sceptic. It’s the reason we have many religions instead of one, and the reason we have denominations instead of just the one faith! Ninety per cent of whom will tell you, “God is a mystery?” and deny that Jesus, alone and himself is, God!
Any Judge or detective will tell you that something is only a mystery when you lack evidence to provide a sound verdict. The prophets had evidence. “Ye are my witnesses saith the Lord that I am God” (Isaiah 42:12). King David had evidence, The LORD he is God (Psalm 100:3). The apostles found evidence, “Emmanuel God with us” (Matthew 1:23). Even doubting Thomas said “My Lord and my God.” Titus called him (Jesus) our Great God and Saviour ( Titus 2:13). Jesus is God’s evidence because he is God himself in the flesh (John 1:1.14).
The apostle Paul summed it up like this, “for the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead so that they are without excuse” (Romans 1:20).. no excuse means, we have the evidence!
…. we see Jesus. Now we understand his Godhead!
…..Case closed… Jesus is God! There is no more evidence, because there simply is, no other God.
