Meeting God on Your Road to Nowhere

It’s time to get out of Idolatry and into humility. It’s time to meet God!

My friend a preacher, told me yesterday that he was fed up with church and wanted more of God. He was sincere and I saw his desperation the result of playing religious games, which he readily admitted too.  I suggested that he start by asking God for a revelation of who he really was.  My reasoning was found with Paul. He knew God but didn’t know his name. When stopped by a voice, he said, “who are you Lord?”…the Lord said, “I am Jesus!”.   He was then struck blind until Ananias told him that it was God’s will for him to preach Jesus to the Gentiles. (Acts 9:1-18)

Like so many folks today personal revival don’t come from a  sunday meeting but meeting God who shows you his name. Until then all men are blind and know not at what they stumble.

If you need a personal resurrection, read Acts and Isaiah to discover Jesus, Jesus in the Old, Jesus in the New, that’s your road, your Damascus road, ask God to show you his name and don’t stop on this road until you hear and see Jesus. When he speaks “Jesus,” you will know who God is! You will like Saul then be blinded for a season during which you will be confronted by an Ananias who will open your blinded eyes and you too will then see the hope of your calling.

If you’re on a religious road, a road to nowhere and need a revolution, in which you too like Saul, will see both your calling and know your God in person, then get off your hobby-horse theological ride and in humility get on your knees and cry out to God, “Lord who are you?   A man does not know “God” until God says “I am Jesus!!    This is a season not of ministry, prophecy or money but finding “Jesus!” knowing his name and him as God in person. Anything less is idolatry in its full measure.

Paul.
