In him (Jesus) was life; and the life was the light of men (John 1:20)… his son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life (1 John 5:20). That which we have seen and heard of the “word of life,” “the life” which was manifested; that “eternal life” which was with the father was manifested unto us (1 John 12).
Jesus calls himself “eternal life!” Obviously there cannot be the life of the Father and the life of the Son. Whose life would you have? Both can’t be two separate source of life can they? So why does the Son have the life and why is he the Life and why is his life the light of men, I mean why doesn’t the Father give us his life, after all he’s God isn’t he?
Maybe that light is Jesus himself. The creator, the Father of lights, and himself the everlasting Father (Isaiah 9;6 Ja 1:16). Maybe we’ve forgotten the Son didn’t stay Son all his life. What he is now is what he’s always been from the beginning “God!” the light that was with the father is himself the father!
Just thinking standing up.
Paul.
