55 Reasons Why You Should Preach
The Apostles Doctrine
1. Jesus is The Chief Corner Stone of The Apostles Doctrine
The church is God’s temple built upon the revelation of the apostles and prophet’s, which is Jesus.
They followed Jesus first. They knew Jesus first before they knew doctrine and church things. Today, man gets into the ministry and hopes sometime he can know Jesus through bible study and the pursuit of God, in retrospect however, one cannot understand God without understanding the apostle’s doctrine.
And he beheld them, and said, what is this then that is written, the stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? (Luke 20:17).
This stone is put in place first. It’s the corner stone a foundation stone, an essential stone. Everything else is built around it!

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. (Isaiah 28:16).
The Lord himself the centre of discussion, the focus of attention, and the sure foundation. The Lord himself the builder and architect of our faith.
Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into (1 Peter 1:10-12).
The prophet’s spoke of the foundation, the apostles revealed the foundation, Christ himself is the foundation.
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:10,11).
I will build my church.
He did and still does!
2. Jesus is The Theme of The Apostles Doctrine
One cannot preach doctrine unless one has a revelation of the name of Jesus (Acts 2:42).
No one can be an apostle unless he has the revelation of the name of Jesus.
Without knowing Jesus as God one cannot baptize in Jesus name. Without the revelation of the name of Jesus one will not preach a book of Acts and its salvation message.
One cannot be an apostle and not have a revelation of the apostle’s doctrine.
No one can be an apostle unless he knows that God himself has become flesh and that Jesus is his name. It’s the incarnation that builds a foundation for the understanding of our salvation. How can a man preach Jesus unless he believes that God himself has become flesh! The foundation of salvation is, Jehovah has become our salvation (Psalm 27:1 1 Timothy 3:16).
Salvation is both a person and an event, hence the necessity of the name!
We build on him!
We don’t build a church on a movement.
We don’t build a church on a tradition.
We don’t build a church on an experience.
We don’t build a church on a denominational viewpoint.
We build on his name, “Jesus.”
He is the theme of the church that bears his name.
3. The Apostles Doctrine is The Revelation of Jesus
The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: (Acts 1:1,2).
The apostles taught all that Jesus began to both do and teach. They copied Jesus! That’s what apostles do best. They copy Jesus.
What Jesus taught in parable and principle the apostles wrought in doctrine. What was in type and shadow, the apostles uncovered and revealed as truth. The apostle’s doctrine is not just a segment of teaching but rather it’s the whole counsel of God to the church, all that we know that is essential to salvation and the knowledge of the God man Jesus!
Doctrine uncovers God and reveals Jesus.
Doctrine that does not reveal God is not church doctrine at all.
Doctrine is the revealing of hidden things. What religion hides doctrine unveils.
It is necessary to have a Jesus revelation for without revelation there is mystery, deception misunderstanding and confusion. Ask yourself, if a man has no revelation of Jesus, then should he be trusted to teach prophecy, destiny or history? For if he’s wrong about the doctrine of God then he’s going to be wrong about all other doctrine in the bible.
If a man gets the name of his God wrong then the church name in the city and church name in the community will be wrong. The foundation stone must be in place before truth can be established in the city.
It’s all about the name.
Why did the apostles preach Jesus and not church growth?
Why do the apostles preach Jesus and not, signs and wonders or the end times message?
Then opened he their eyes to understand scriptures (John 16:12,15). In the volume of the book it is written of him. The Whole bible is about him. Anyone can preach the bible. Only those who know the apostles doctrine can preach Jesus and Jesus as God. One cannot be a good preacher and not know that the whole bible is about Jesus alone. If we cannot see this, then we are going to preach religion another Lord, another faith, another name and another baptism.
Preaching Jesus is the message of those who preach sound doctrine.
4. The Apostles Doctrine Reveals The One True God.
Jesus revealed the one true God.
He that has seen me has seen the Father (John 14:9).
Peter revealed the one true God.
