A PROMISED PLACE AT THE TABLEAnd it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father’s house. Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle. (1 Samuel 18:1-4 1 Samuel 20:8 1 Samuel 23:18).A table thou hast prepared for me.Methibosheth. Saul’s grandson who in a time of war was taken from the palace by a maid and while she ran from her enemies she stumbled and fell, crippling the child, Mephibosheth. She managed to escape to a place called Lodebar which means ‘the place of no pasture.’ Even though he was jonathans son and a grandson of Saul and a potential heir to the throne he lived in a desert a place called nowhere. A barren place.King David had a covenant friend with Jonathan was greatly concerned about Jonathan and asked ‘is there yet any one who is left of the house of Saul that I may show him kindness for Jonathans sake?’ Ziba his servant replied rather timidly, ‘There is still a son of Jonathan who is lame in his feet’ (2 Samuel 9:3). Where is he asked David, ‘Behold he is in the house of Malchi the son of Amiel in Lo-Debar.’Immediatly David saddles his horse and rides off to find him, after two days travel hi finds him covered in rags, dirty hiding our in a hut, cuddled up mina corner. cringing with fear. “Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table.”(2 Samuel 9:7) or eat at my table continually (KJV) or ‘he shall have a continuous feast!’The lame becoming the most sought after. The bruised restored, the sick made well again.Who would have thought I would be worthy to sit at the Kings table. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Spiritual Blessings (Romans 8:28–34) Earthly blessings (Deuteronomy 28:1-12) Eternal life (John 3:5,16). Treasures in heaven and on earth.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence. In love He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One (Ephesians 1:4-5).
IN HEAVENLY PLACES this does not men just in heaven but rather blessings that come from above. we are blessed in heavenly places, that’s the source, our blessings come from above. Feasting on the manna that never shall run dry, feasting is better than fasting especially if your just fasting because you have nothing to eat!John 1:12-23..’But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.’I know about adoption, more than that, I was adopted yes twice adopted. Only God can give that power.. power to become sons. power to fell at home among strangers. power to become one of them that are of the family of God.As an orphan myself I know what its like to find a father. When I found my day and brothers in KY it was a joyous experience. I was invited to stay with them at their home. after meeting my newly found brother in MO he took my too see my dad in Ky. Joe is his name. En-route I didn’t have to pay for anything and when I offered he just say that’s ok bro ‘Ill take care of it’ or ‘I got it’.. why I was sitting at his table nowSome folks are so used to feasting on ‘make do’ that to have more than enough is a sin to them, unworthiness comes with a price. unworthiness destroys a man’s soul, not good enough never is entitles to more than enough so he chastises himself with poverty. its not deliberate, poverty is the result of unworthiness. who would have thought that a king yes a king of all people would come looking for me. thought Mephibosheth. Well Mephibosheth was a king he just did not see himself worthy of such a position. The day I sat at my dad’s table in Kentucky it was awesome. The day I sat at the kings table was tremendous too, I’m talking of my place in ministry your place in destiny, youre place in hi9story, you family table. yes many have yet to find their place at the family table. I found mine and you can find yours too. you’ll just fit in, yes the heavenly and the earthly connect. you can feats at both tables. I’m sitting at destines table, my family table. meeting my family was my destiny for me.Friend you are destined to sit at your families table.Paul
